Khemara is passionate about promoting private sector led growth. Through over a decade of professional experience in private sector development, Khemara designed and managed several reform projects to improve business environment and access to finance for SMEs in the Mekong region with leading development organizations including the World Bank, International Finance Corporation and the Asian Development Bank.
Khemara has served most recently as a Regional Access to Finance Manager for the ADB/DFAT funded Mekong Business Initiative (MBI), design and implement projects to build stronger private sector through policy advocacy, alternative financing, and innovation & startup ecosystem building in Cambodia, Loa, Myanmar Vietnam (CLMV). Khemara is activiely working with regulators and private sector players to promote angel investment and fintech development in CLMV.
Khemara is a Cambodian national. He holds a bachelor of Business Administration and a Master Degree in International Relations from Japan.
